What do I do if my Moov is disconnected during a workout?




Moov sends high-frequency data of your 3D motion to your phone to provide real-time coaching, pushing the boundaries of today’s wireless technology.


We’ve found that using Moov’s high-frequency data transmission with other Bluetooth devices can result in connection issues for some phones.  


We are doing our best to test as many Android phones as possible and implement fixes to avoid disconnection where we can. We are continuously implementing connection improvements as we test more devices, so check for app updates frequently.


Try this:

In the meantime, the simplest fix to disconnection issues are to unpair any Bluetooth devices before doing a workout and turn WiFi off. If you do want to use paired bluetooth headphones, please turn WIFI off before doing a workout.


In the meantime, here are some tips for the best possible connection during your workout.


Before a workout:

  • Choose wired headphones over Bluetooth headphones.

  • Turn Wifi off.

  • Be sure you have the latest app version.

  • Restart your phone to have a clean state on Bluetooth devices for your phone. From our tests, this has the best results for minimizing disconnection issues.

  • If you don’t want to restart your phone, you can try turning off Bluetooth, wait for 10 seconds, and turn it on again.

  • Unpair all Bluetooth devices in your phone settings.


During a workout:

  • Turn off Bluetooth, wait for 10 seconds, and turn it on again. Moov should reconnect and if it doesn’t, please click on your Moov.

  • Unpair all Bluetooth devices in your phone settings. You’ll still be connected to Moov if you do this in your workout.

  • One more thing you can try: make sure to keep your Moov on the same side of your body as your mobile device. If your mobile device is strapped to your right arm and your Moov is strapped to your left ankle, your body can serve as an obstruction.
